This week, I took a little daddy-daughter ditch day. For a few hours, I stepped away from the inbox, the calls, the goals, and the constant pressure to stay productive. I took my daughter to the tulip festival. ON A WEDNESDAY!!!! And the truth is, that break did not set me back. It reminded me that sometimes the smartest, healthiest, and most important move you can make is to pause and be fully present for the people and moments that matter most. And my daughter appreciated it too ❤️ Here are three Gold Medal habits you can steal this week.

This Saturday is Valentine’s Day, so let’s talk about the kind of love that shows up on a random Tuesday, the love for the work. As we honor Veterans Day this week, I’ve been thinking a lot about the kind of leadership our veteran's model, quiet strength, humility, clarity, and a deep commitment to serving something bigger than themselves. In senior care, we may not wear uniforms, but every day we step into a role where service isn’t optional…it’s the heart of the job.

Preparation isn’t about perfection; it’s about positioning yourself to win. Ronald Shapiro’s book, Dare to Prepare reminds us that real confidence doesn’t come from winging it; it comes from doing the work before the whistle blows. In senior care, preparation isn’t optional, it’s the difference between reacting and leading. Here are three powerful insights your leadership and overall team can start using today
